Osteoarthritis of the Knee

  • This refers to wearing out of the cartilage inside the knee joint leading to pain and stiffness

  • This is an excellent solution for a person older than 50 years of age who has arthritis involving only a portion of the knee joint
  • This is commonly the medial (inner portion) compartment of the knee when walking
  • This procedure provides excellent pain relief and good knee function as majority of the patient’s knee is preserved during the surgery.

  • Hospitalisation of about 3 – 5 days
  • Start to walk on 2nd day after operation
